CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped produce more authentic gun handling, house clearing, location and team-based action, etc. Referenced at the Sovereign Awards (2024). I waited 4 episodes to really immerse myself in this for a long time. The goal was to give myself a chance to appreciate the gift we’ve been given by the numerous A-list actors who contributed to the creation of this work. The work is otherwise enjoyable and appreciated by many despite the mixed reviews. Many viewers have been told stories from a similar perspective, but this view remains exciting when you deal with a more confusing but well-tied plot through the female leads, each of whom captures our attention every time they appear. Halfway through, we can’t tell if that sense of urgency will hold up to the same level as it does now that we’re starting to see what’s going on, but considering the subject matter covered, the budget, and the talent they were able to bring this to the screen, it’s a hard one to miss, mostly because of the series’ solid foundation.
