Danielle Deadwyler (Till, The Harder They Fall, The Piano Lesson) stars as Ramona, a woman devastated by grief after surviving a car crash that took the life of her husband (Russell Hornsby; BMF, Fences). Severely injured, Ramona must now care for her 14-year-old son (Peyton Jackson; Respect, American Refugee) and six-year-old daughter (Estella Kahihah; Will Trent, BMF) alone on their rural farm. And then one day, a woman takes shape in their backyard. Ramona assumes the woman (Okwui Okpokwasili; The Exorcist: Believer, A Midsummer Night’s Dream Julie Taymor) is lost or insane, but as the woman gets closer and closer to the house, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary figure. And her intentions are anything but peaceful. Now Ramona must get back on her feet to protect herself and her children from the grip of a woman who simply won’t leave them alone.
