Line of Events
Follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second part of the two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical. Wicked first announced that it would be split into two films in April 2022, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining, “The truth is, we tried to do it for a while. one film (which) required us to cut or leave out things that we wanted to include and that we thought fans of the show and the story would appreciate.” He added, “It was very difficult for us to get past ‘Defying Gravity’ without a break. That song was written specifically to bring the curtain down, and any scene that followed it without a break seemed very anticlimactic.” Featured in AniMat’s crazy cartoon Cast: Chip n' Dale: A New Legacy (2022).
